PedalHeads Cycles was founded on a single conviction: that Brisbane riders deserve world-class bikes, genuine expertise, and a shop that actually cares about how they ride. That hasn't changed. What started as a flagship store in Brendale has grown into two locations — Brendale and Albion —serving every type of rider across Greater Brisbane and beyond.
We are not a chain, not a big-box retailer, and not an online warehouse. We are riders who happen to run a bike shop — and that makes all the difference.
The brands we carry
We carry the brands we believe in — the same ones we ride ourselves. That means Specialized (including S-Works), Cervélo, Pinarello, Santa Cruz, Cannondale, Orbea and Wilier for bikes, and Specialized, Kask, Shimano, Supacaz, Maxxis and Oakley for accessories, helmets and shoes.
We also specialise in custom builds — from an S-Works Tarmac SL8 built to your spec, to a Cervélo tri setup dialled for race day, to a Santa Cruz trail weapon configured for the trails you actually ride. If you can dream it, we can build it.
Our services
Bike fitting
Every road bike we sell comes with a professional size fit as part of the purchase — because a bike that doesn't fit right is a bike that doesn't perform. Our bike fitter Jason is a former Elite Level road and track cyclist who has competed in Europe. His philosophy is simple: 'Comfort creates speed.' Whether you're chasing a Strava segment or your first Ironman, Jason will have you dialled in.
Workshop and servicing
Our full-service workshop is home to some of Brisbane's most experienced mechanics. Dave — our Workshop Manager at Brendale — has 30+ years in the industry and an obsessive attention to detail. Kimble at Albion has mechaniced for professional race teams and major events around the world for over 25 years. Your bike is in the best possible hands.
Rent-to-own program
Not ready to commit? Our flexible rental program lets you ride a premium bike from as little as $28.85 per week, with the option to buy at any point. It's the smart way to try before you buy — and a great pathway for riders new to the sport.
E-bike servicing
We are an authorised service centre for Bosch, Shimano, Fazua, Brose and Mahle e-bike drive systems. If your e-bike is running any of these motors, you're in the right place.
Part of Brisbane's cycling community
PedalHeads is more than a shop — it's a hub for Brisbane's cycling community. We run social rides throughout the week welcoming riders of all levels. We support local race teams, and we are proud affiliates of Genesis Triathlon and Energy Lab Triathlon clubs.
We are also proud supporters of two cycling charities that are close to our hearts: RideWest — the 1,311km biennial charity ride from Brisbane to Longreach raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service's mental health programs in regional Queensland — and Sisters of the Saddle, supporting women in cycling. Our team doesn't just donate — we show up. Our staff member Marty Ross serves as part of the RideWest support crew, and the PedalHeads van is on the road for the full 8-day ride.

Shop Mascots
Meet Sasha, Yasi and Eva
Every real bike shop has a dog. We have three. Sasha is our Hungarian Vizsla who runs the Brendale store with her new sidekick Yasi, a retired ex-guidedog, alongside Richard (with their beds conveniently stationed next to his desk). Sasha loves most people — though she's a little wary of small children and anyone who looks like they might try to cuddle her. Yasi just loves people and will greet everyone and rollover for a scratch.
Eva is a Border Collie who calls the Albion store home alongside Marty. She loves to play ball, round up Sasha on her visits, and generally keep everyone honest.
ALBION STORE MANAGER
Meet Marty, Store Manager @ Albion
If you've been riding in Brisbane for any length of time, you've probably heard of Marty. He has been a fixture in this city's cycling scene for over 30 years — and we are genuinely fortunate to have him leading our Albion store alongside Kimble and Eva.
Marty brings an encyclopaedic knowledge of bikes, an easy authority that puts customers at ease, and a dedication to the sport that shows in everything he does. He is also part of our RideWest support crew — a role he takes on with the same commitment he brings to everything else.
Albion hours: Tue–Fri 9:30am–5:30pm | Sat 9am–1:30pm
Meet Kimble, Mechanic @ Albion
Kimble has mechaniced for professional race teams and major cycling events around the world for over 25years. He has stories for every occasion and expertise for every mechanical challenge — and now he calls PedalHeads Albion home.
He is a master bike mechanic who will work on anything with two wheels
and a drivetrain, and who genuinely loves helping people with their bikes
regardless of what they ride.
Meet Dave, Workshop Manager @ Brendale/Albion
Dave has been in the industry for over 30 years. Originally from New Zealand, he is thorough, down to earthand deeply talented. As Workshop Manager at Brendale, Dave sets the standard for how a bike should be maintained and serviced.
He splits his time between Brendale Monday to Friday and Albion on Saturdays. Whatever state your bike is in, it leaves Dave's workshop better than it arrived.

Meet Murray, Mechanic @ Brendale
Murray is fast on the bike and precise with the tools. A dedicated racer with the Wolf Racing Team on weekends, he brings a competitor's eye to every build and service — knowing exactly what it takes to make a bike perform when it matters.
At Brendale Monday to Friday, Muzz is one of those rare people who is equally at home diagnosing a drivetrain issue and helping a customer choose their next upgrade.

Meet Jason, Bike Fit @ Brendale
Jason is a former Elite Level road and track cyclist who competed in Europe. His approach to fitting is builton a simple truth: comfort creates speed. When your position is right,everything else follows — power, endurance, efficiency.
He works with riders of all levels, from beginners finding their first position to experienced athletes fine-tuning for race day. If you're buying a bike from us, Jason will make sure it fits.

Meet Peter, Sales@ Brendale
Peter has been around bikes his whole life — as a rider (road and MTB), as an AusCycling certified Level 1 coach, and as a bike shop professional for over 20 years. He also races crits with the Hope Racing Team.
That depth of experience means Peter gives advice rooted in real riding — not sales targets. He's with us Monday to Wednesday at Brendale.

Meet Shaun, Sales & Community @ Brendale
Shaun will tell you there are only two things he loves more than riding- his dog and his wife. He runs our community rides, helps new riders find their feetand their fit, and brings an infectious enthusiasm to every customer interaction.
He rides with his Cavoodle, Buddy, as a companion on community rides — which tells you everything you need to know about Shaun.

Harry keeps Brendale looking sharp as our part-time cleaner, riding his e-bike to work every shift with a smile that hasn't dimmed yet. Sasha adores him, which is about the highest endorsement we can give anyone.

Meet Richard @ Brendale/Albion
Richard has been riding since childhood — BMX, MTB, road, and eventually Ironman, where he challenged himself to beat his own PB with every race. That drive to go further is built into how he runs PedalHeads: always looking for the creative solution, always going the extra mile for a customer.
Whether you're chasing your first century ride or a sub-10 Ironman,
Richard brings practical knowledge, genuine insight and the perspective of
someone who has been exactly where you are.

Meet Lana @Brendale
Lana keeps PedalHeads running — managing the business, the website and everything in between, while finding time to explore Greater Brisbane on her e-bike. She is the organisational backbone behind everything you experience as a customer, and the reason the shop runs as
smoothly as it does.
Meet Davide in Italy
Davide is currently enjoying life in Italy with his family. Working for Specialized in Milan but is coming back in July with a new family member! Exciting.
