The ERE Research Explorator CCR45 Carbon All-Road Wheelset is built for riders who want one fast, versatile wheelset for road, endurance, all-road and gravel riding. With a 45mm deep carbon rim profile, wide 25mm internal rim width and a low claimed wheelset weight of 1575g, the CCR45 delivers a strong balance of speed, stability, comfort and off-road capability.
Designed around modern tyre sizes, the Explorator CCR45 is optimised for 32-55mm tyres, with compatibility from 29mm through to 71mm. This makes it ideal for riders who want to run fast slicks on the road, wider all-road tyres for mixed surfaces, or gravel tyres for rougher terrain. The hooked carbon rims are tubeless ready and supplied with ERE ProClose tubeless tape fitted, helping make setup cleaner and more convenient.
The wheelset is built around ERE IONA II 3-pawl hubs with Centerlock disc brake compatibility and 12x100mm front / 12x142mm rear thru-axle spacing. Premium Alpina Extralite straight-pull spokes and Alpina brass Double Square ABT lock nipples add strength, reliability and serviceability, while multiple freehub options support Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, Shimano Micro Spline, Campagnolo and Campagnolo EKAR/N3W drivetrains.
